A traditional Kerala dessert made with coconut milk. Special served after sadhya.
1) Green grams .5 cup 2) Thick coconut milk .25 cup 3) Whole milk .25 cup 4) Sugar .25 cup 5) Raisin 100gm 6) Cashew nut 100gm 7) Ghee 2 tablespoons
Soak the green grams in water overnight. Boil it with water for 20 minutes, until the green gram is cooked. Then add whole milk, coconut milk, sugar and cardamom pods. Stir constantly for 10 minutes, until the sugar is dissolved. Now fry seperately the raisin and cashewnut in a pan. Add the ghee and roasted nuts to payasam. Serve hot
